Self-portrait of Nina Schollaardt

Nina Schollaardt is a portrait and documentary photographer, based in Amsterdam. Alongside professional assignments in photojournalism, she actively pursues autonomous projects.

In her free work, Nina focuses on humans, transitional phases, and social injustice. Inspired by the groundbreaking works in social documentary photography by August Sander and Rineke Dijkstra, she is driven by highlighting nuances and often overlooked local issues that don’t get media attention.

She holds a degree in photography from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
